What it means to be a member organisation
Federated associations, supporter associations and allied organisations and individuals: what each kind of relationship with the Federation offers and how the membership process works.

The Red Micelio Federation (FERM) is a meeting point for organisations devoted to the study of and work with entheogens. From different fields, lineages and approaches, we share one task: to preserve knowledge and practices that come from a long tradition, and to do so responsibly.
Three kinds of relationship
- Federated association. For legally constituted non-profit associations. They take part in the General Assembly with a voice and a vote, have access to legal advice from specialised lawyers, to training and to guidance groups on harm reduction, and may use the Federation's logo.
- Supporter association. Takes part in the Assembly with a voice but no vote, has access to legal advice and to discounts on training, and helps give the Federation greater representation and legitimacy. It may not use the logo.
- Allied organisations and individuals. Support the Federation's aims with a regular contribution and receive information about activities, training and events.
The membership process
Associations begin with a pre-registration, attaching their statutes, tax identification number (CIF), entry in the Register of Associations and a short project description. This is followed by an interview in which the documentation and compatibility with the Code of Ethics are reviewed. Federated associations must also submit the minutes of their internal assembly approving their joining FERM, and their application is put to the General Assembly.
Why join the Federation
In a field without clear legal regulation, organising as an association and being part of a network of peers matters: it makes it possible to compare criteria with other organisations, to train, to share protocols and to have a stronger voice before institutions and governments.
All the information and the pre-registration forms are on the Membership page.
